tomorrows desktop

James Gosling (Father of Java) said:

The cell phone is tomorrow’s desktop.

Now, that is something I fully agree. This clearly also means Most of India will never see a Desktop (as we know it now)! If you think its futuristic- think future :-). Look beyond what you can see … Its all about convergence at affordable price to the common man. Awaiting your comments.

  1. He´s right,

We´re watching a race beetween Nokia, Microsoft and PalmOne in order to get the first Celphone with desktop´s capacities (if you don´t trust me, please go and check for the Nokia´s side of the story). The first one to reach this “Holly Grial” will have a similar success to the one reached by Mr Gates when he succeded to install his nice DOS in the IBM PC.

    Who´s gonna win?

I certainly belive that Symbian phones are something like 2 years ahead from windows Mobile edition´s gadgets. But you never knows, perhaps a quickly movement from Ms and Palm could interfers Nokia´s Strategy.

    Please enjoy the game……
